Tower Hill Botanic Gardens was the final destination for Claire and Christopher for their wedding day celebration. I started at Claire’s beautiful family home in Andover, Massachusetts, to capture some joyful and classic portraits of the bride and her bridesmaids. Onto St. Agustine’s Church in Andover, where Claire and Christopher “tied the knot” in a lovely and traditional Catholic marriage ceremony. I love the photo of the guests on the church stairs. They all waited patiently while we took a few timeless portraits of the bride and groom back inside the church. There is so much excitement and anticipation waiting for the bride and groom to exit the church – you can see the happiness on the faces of the Claire and Christopher’s guests as the couple descends the beautiful St. Agustine Church Steps.
We made our way to the gorgeous and aclaimed gardens at Tower Hill in Boylston, Massachusetts, where more stunning portraits were created for this newly married couple. They were up for traveling all about the gardens, taking the time needed to capture their love, affection, and happiness. After portraits, we went inside for a few photos and my work was done.
It was interesting that when this wedding took place, the expression micro-wedding didn’t even exist. It could have been their culture or their priorities, but I love that this couple and their families knew what was most important to them and within the span of 3-4 hours, I was able to create a beautiful wedding story. It wasn’t a micro-wedding where the number of guests were concerned, but a micro-wedding where the amount of photography coverage was concerned. And it worked for everyone involved.
I wish this sweet couple many years of good health and happiness.
