How would you describe your photography style?

I want you to look at your photos now and in years to come and remember all of the joy, excitement, and emotion you felt on your wedding day. I am a hopeless romantic and I strive to create photos that capture that. And if in doing so, we all burst out laughing, I love that too! I am all about the fun – silly, goofy, crazy fun. But if you are the more sophisticated type, I won’t try to create photos that feel fake to you. I’m here to tell your story. Naturally posed family portraits, fun and creative wedding party photos, classic and timeless photos of you and your partner, and tons of candid shots that you aren’t even aware are happening.

Do you prefer to blend into the background to capture candid moments, or do you like to be more visible and take charge?

While I do a lot of blending into the background for candids, I will also do some directing as needed. In most cases, the family and wedding party photos are directed, while photos of the couple are partially directed with lots of candids in between. We will collaborate on what works best for you.

Do you photograph weddings outside of New Hampshire?

While New Hampshire is my home base, I have photographed all over New England, including weddings in Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, Newport RI, the White Mountains, as well as many other locations in Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, and Connecticut.

Do you travel to destination weddings?

I love to travel to and photograph destination weddings. I have photographed weddings in Denver, Virginia Beach, Jamaica, and Aruba as well as throughout all of the New England states.

Do you provide services for small or micro weddings?

Yes, I photograph weddings of all sizes. Let’s set up a time to chat so we can collaborate on your photography needs.

How long have you been photographing weddings?

I have photographed more than 1200 weddings over the past 25 years (and I still LOVE every one of them!) When there is a weekend that I don’t have a wedding booked, I’ll often help out my other photographer friends as a second shooter. I just can’t get enough of them!

Will you be the primary photographer on our wedding day?

Absolutely. I am a hands-on company owner and I will be your lead photographer.

Do you work with a second photographer?

That is entirely up to my couples. At most of my weddings, I work solo and am very comfortable capturing all of the different angles and unique candids. As a photojournalist, I have the skills and experience to do it all. In some weddings, especially larger ones, we can use a second photographer. Let’s chat and discuss your needs!

Do you recommend an engagement shoot?

Absolutely. An engagement shoot is a great time to get to know each other and we will have a lot of fun. Plus, you’ll get some practice at being more relaxed and comfortable while being photographed.

I've never been comfortable in front of a camera and am a little nervous. Can you help?

Relax! I work with nervous couples all the time. I promise that I won’t put you in awkward or uncomfortable poses — just beautiful, natural, casual images that come with a relaxed experience for all. I can offer as much direction as needed and I will make it a fun experience. If you don’t want to pose at all, I can provide a full candid approach or a combination of the styles that make you comfortable.

Can we see the galleries of a few of your recent weddings?

Of course! Our website and blog have hundreds of images from previous weddings. If you’d like some direction, just shoot me a text or email and let me know what you want to see. I’ll point you in the right direction.

What is included in your standard package? What add-ons do your other packages include?

You can check out my wedding packages here, but our services are customized for your needs and desires. You might want a second photographer, an engagement session, custom-designed wedding albums, prints, and wall portraits. The sky is the limit.

Does your packages include editing and retouching of our photos?

Yes. Your photos are edited, color corrected, cropped, and ready to print.

Can you photograph pre-wedding events like our rehearsal dinner?

Absolutely. When you select me to photograph your wedding, I can be available at the pre-wedding events for an hourly fee.

How long do you need for photos prior to or after the ceremony?

The timeline depends on the number of people involved and the shots that you want to capture. The more people, and the more shots, the longer it takes. In general, if you are having a first look, then we would start 2-1/2 hours prior to the ceremony. This would provide time for the ‘getting ready’ shots, shots of the groomsmen, some wedding party and family shots, and still give time for everyone to freshen up before the ceremony. If you are doing most of the photos after the ceremony, you can plan on 60 minutes before and after the ceremony. Knowing that you want to get to your reception, I work very efficiently, but it is always best to allow plenty of time.

Can we request a list of specific shots we would like?

I am open to taking as much direction as you would like to provide. Don’t worry, I’ll get all the family and wedding party shots. If there are special images that you absolutely, positively want to capture, such as groups of friends, cousins, or Godparents, just let me know. Of course, the smaller the list, the more time I can spend photographing your day as it unfolds with lots of candids and those in-between shots that my couples love.

Will our guests be able to take photos while you are?

Great question! Everyone will want to take pictures on your big day, but sometimes having others trying to get the same shot keeps me from getting that shot. For example, if we’ve lined up the wedding party and there are several cameras pointing at them, some people might end up looking at the wrong camera. I’m typically able to work around that, but I might need some assistance if it’s turning into a situation where I cannot get the images you expect.

Will you be posting about our wedding on your website and social media?

Many of our couples find us on social media and our website, so we typically include some of our wedding images there. If you’re not comfortable with us doing that, let’s discuss it.

Will you be working with our wedding planner and other vendors?

A successful wedding is a team effort, and we will work with all of your other wedding pros to make your day wonderful.

How long will we have to wait to get our wedding photos?

We know you’ll want them as soon as you can get them 🙂 The link to download your digital files is available 4 weeks after your wedding, and is available for 90 days. For a custom-designed wedding album, it takes about eight weeks for delivery once you choose your favorite images and approve the final design.

Will we receive high resolution digital images? Is there a fee for that?

High-resolution digital images are included in all of my packages.

Will our wedding images be accessible online?

Your images will be posted in a password-protected online gallery four weeks after your wedding. We’ll provide you with a link to your gallery that you can share with your friends and family. You can download your wedding images directly from this gallery to the storage device of your choice (we recommend that you make an extra copy for safekeeping!)

Are albums or prints included in your packages?

Albums and prints can be added to any package, and an album is included in my top package.

Do you offer custom designed albums?

Yes. They are one-of-a-kind pieces of art that tell an amazing story of your day.

Can we order prints or albums directly from you?

Yes, we can provide high-quality prints and beautiful custom albums.

What do we need to do to book you?

Once you decide to choose me as your photographer, I’ll send over an agreement that you can sign electronically. I’ll need a $1000 retainer, and that can be paid online as well. Once that’s done, I’ll reserve your date and we’ll be all set. It’s easy!

How are payments handled?

The retainer payment is made when you reserve my services. The remaining payment is due four weeks before your wedding. If you prefer, you can make partial payments along the way.

Do you charge a travel fee?

Sometimes, depending on the location. Let me know the location and I’ll give you the details.

What information do you need from us before the wedding day?

I provide a wedding day questionnaire that you can complete online. We will also have a phone meeting a week or two before your wedding to go over the final details. Of course, we can talk whenever you need to along the way.

If you have not worked at our venue before, will you visit it before our wedding?

I’ve worked at most of the venues in the area, but if I haven’t been there before, I will do some online exploring and arrive extra early to scope out the best photo opportunities.

Will there be an additional fee if we need you to stay longer than originally planned?

The time allocated in our packages is almost always more than enough to capture everything. But, if things take longer than expected, you can extend my time in increments of a half-hour or hour at my regular overtime rate.

Do you have backup equipment and insurance?

Yes and yes. I always travel with backup cameras, flashes, batteries, and lenses – you name it! I also carry liability insurance.

Do you offer a photo booth?

We focus on photography (no pun intended!) and don’t provide photo booths. But, we work with several photo booth providers and can refer to a reputable source.
