Seacoast Science Center Wedding – Rye, NH – Shannon and Barry

It was a gorgeous summer day when Shannon and Barry celebrated their micro-wedding at The Seacoast Science Center in Rye, NH.  Since this beautiful venue is tented and outdoors, they were able to have a paired-down guest list with social distancing in place.  The guests were so jazzed to be together and be outside celebrating, magic was in the air for sure.

When I met with Shannon and Barry there was an instant connection.  I could definitely feel that they wanted beautiful photos, but wanted a totally no fuss, relaxing photography experience, so I was excited that I had the experience to offer that.

A summer micro wedding in New Hampshire was not as difficult on the east coast as it was for our friends on the other coast.  And for that I was grateful to be able to photograph their stress-free wedding.  Why was it stress free?  Put Laurie Mantegari from Everyday Details at the helm and everything always runs like clockwork.  I tell my clients time and time again, that having an event planner is such an integral part of making sure your wedding day is one where you can just kick back and enjoy.   And that’s what Shannon and Barry did.

They had the sweetest littles in their wedding party and it was so much fun when they came down the ceremony aisle like little princes and princesses.

The decor was amazing with super cute wedding details, games and activities for the guests – AND beautiful brightly colored vibrant flowers all made this wedding one to remember.  They are a couple that focused on what really mattered – their shared love and the ability to be truly present for this celebration – all without the distractions of a large wedding.

I loved the special signs that this couple had made for their parents to signify the two parent tables and one for themselves as well.  Both sets of parent were so joyful and lots of fun.  And speaking of fun – what a crowd of crazy fun people – loved all of the friend and group photos that we created throughout the day.

What more could we ask for?  A couple who wanted to celebrate their love with friends and family, good food, fun and games, a ceremony on the seacoast of New Hampshire, a brilliant blue sky and an abundance of joy!   Shannon was so kind of share her special words of gratitude with me after the wedding day.  It was such a pleasure to capture this couples’ love for each other and their loved ones.  An honor for sure and I wish them both every happiness!

Kind Words from Shannon and Barry:

“Our wedding coordinator recommended Linda for our wedding day and she did not disappoint! We met with Linda at the beginning of our wedding planning and knew right away that she would be a perfect fit. She was easy to communicate with, she was calm, kind, and brought a portfolio of her work in which we fell in love with. Knowing that our wedding party had “a lot of personality,” we knew that we would need someone who would be able to handle a lot of bad jokes and a lot of talking, be assertive with a smile, and who would be able to be flexible with the day. Linda was everything we hoped for! Our photos are back and we LOVE them. She captured our day perfectly. She even thought to pull us aside at sunset so that we could have the most beautiful photos with a September sky. She is super sweet and we cant wait to have her photograph family photos in the future!”
