When Brittany and Mike first got in touch with me to schedule their engagement session they were unsure if they wanted to go to the NH White Mountains, or stay local. We finally decided to head up to north country, but the weather didn’t cooperate, so we rescheduled. And wow am I glad we did. They decided it would be easier to stay local this time around, so we planned to meet at Kingswood Farm in East Kingston, NH where Brittany boards her horse Phoebe. They also wanted to include their two beautiful dogs Haley and Hansi. Kingswood Farm is so picturesque and I couldn’t have been more excited to photograph this winter wonderland engagement session. This was going to be awesome!
Brittany and Mike are getting married in October of 2022. Their wedding will be at the always amazing Atkinson Resort and Country Club in Southern, NH. I love that they met on the dating app Hinge and Brittany told me it was pretty much “love at first sight”. They were engaged 10 months later and I found them so sweet together. We had never actually met, so I was happy that we were given this chance to experience this photo shoot together, as it will make the wedding day photos even more special.
When we learned that we were going to have a big snowstorm 2 days before their engagement session, we were SO excited. I’ve had a lot of couples who have wanted to have their photos done in the snow, but in all the years I’ve been a wedding photographer, I don’t think I’ve ever had a session where the snow and the scenery was so perfect. The stars aligned, their horse Phoebe rose to the occasion and Haley and Hansi were all on board as well.
This session has everything I live for as a photographer. Beautiful winter light, gorgeous scenery, variety of backgrounds, joy, romance, laughter and fun. I hope you enjoy these photos and it gives you some ideas of what you might like to experience at your engagement shoot.
xoxo linda
