It was the day before Valentine’s Day when I met Kathleen and Kyle at Greycourt Park in Methuen, MA for their winter engagement session. It was also the middle of the Pandemic – or at least a critical time during. It probably should have occurred to me, but it was a pretty crazy time in the world, so it didn’t. Greycourt park was closed and the roads to it were not plowed and we’d just had a huge snowstorm. BUT, all was well . . . At the entrance to Greycourt Park are the Methuen Town Offices and they are equally as beautiful and picturesque – so phew! We had a Plan B. As a wedding photographer, I always have a Plan B, but it’s nice to have the perfect one present itself. How much to you LOVE the black, ornate wrought iron fence. It was a photographers dream! I have a thing for fences in photos and this one was stunning.
Like I said, we had just had a snowstorm and I was so excited about that. I have a lot of couples who want to do snow engagement sessions in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, but you know how that goes – you wait and wait for the right day and the right weather forecast and then it never happens. It was also super cold out, but it didn’t matter – we just wanted a handful of awesome photos. I hope you enjoy these. As I write this story, we are on the eve. of another snowstorm – one whole year later, are still in the midst of the pandemic, AND I have an engagement session on Saturday with a couple at their home in East Kingston, NH. Again, I’m really excited for another beautiful winter shoot.
