Danielle and Steve had a lovely March wedding at The Atkinson Resort and Country Club . . . and what a gorgeous winter day it was for this New Hampshire wedding. It is such an honor to be one of the preferred vendors at the Country Club. Not only do I get to work there often, but it also means that I know the best of the best photo ops on the grounds of this beautiful event center in Atkinson, NH. Danielle and Steve’s style was simple and elegant with a touch of whimsey (see schlitz beer bottle vases next to beautiful white lantern centerpieces. I loved the shoes that Danielle chose to wear with her gorgeous wedding gown – lace sneakers with navy laces to match her decor. I knew we were in for some fun with this crowd.
How did I know we were in for some fun? Check out the groomsman second to last on the right. One of Steve’s groomsmen couldn’t make it so they had a full sized cardboard cut out of him and seriously, that dude followed us everywhere. Who would have thought in March we could do beautiful outdoor photos on the grounds and I loved the mix of grey and navy tuxes, the ushers in navy and the groomsmen in grey – not to mention this was one of the biggest groups of groomsmen I think I’ve ever photographed.
Planning an off-season wedding at the Atkinson Resort and Country Club is never second best to a traditional spring/summer/fall wedding with this ceremony site that overlooks the golf course. It has that indoor/outdoor feel to it and the weather can be perfect in March. (There’s that cardboard dude on the end again – what a ham – always has two thumbs up).
Danielle let her bridesmaids choose their favorite style of a navy dress and their flowers, by Freshwater Farms were a mix of ivory, green and blue – really pretty!
Such a stunning vista on this hill behind the resort and I am always forever grateful to my clients for making the trek up there – it is well worth the drama of this photo as you can see – with that brilliant blue sky.
I loved that the made their entrance by running in from the first floor, rather than the staircase – super fun! and look how happy they are.
The country club’s notorious balcony makes for beautiful first dance and crowd shots. You’ll see it again towards the end for some fun group photos.
The perfect ending to a perfect day. The Country Club has some beautiful winter NH sunsets and it was still warm enough to go outside and take advantage of the beauty.
Another perk of a winter wedding – sometimes you get to use ALL the grounds if there isn’t another wedding going on. Loved the twinkle lights on the garden gazebo.
Ahhhh . . . so romantic and dramatic. Congratulations to Danielle and Steve and thank you for the honor of photographing your wedding.
