New Hampshire Seacoast Wedding
Alison and her friends were so much fun to photograph while they were getting ready! From the instant I walked into the room you could see how much they loved Alison and they were so excited to celebrate her and Pedro. Alison wore a gorgeous lace gown over a champagne-colored slip dress. Her gown had many beautiful details like the buttons up the back of the dress and a high neckline. She chose a sparkly lace hair comb that tied everything together perfectly. She had the perfect balance of an elegant dress and simple summery flats so she could walk in the grass and dance all night! Perfect for an outdoor wedding and matching their beach-y theme!
Before the ceremony, we did two first looks – one with the bride’s dad and one with the groom. First looks are always some of my favorite moments on the wedding day because it is always so emotional. When Alison’s father saw her for the first time it was very sweet. His smile says it all! Allison gifted him with a custom handkerchief that had a photo of them and a personalized note. He loved it!
We then went outside for the first look with Pedro. You could see on his face he was nervous and excited all at the same time, but he was so thrilled when he turned around to see Alison. Doing the first look, and before the ceremony, we had lots of time to walk to the ocean and around the property to take seaside photos. The ocean views were perfect for portraits and for the couple to spend some time together before making it official.
A Beach Themed Wedding
Guests began to arrive and took their seats overlooking the stunning ocean views. They had a very personal ceremony where their friends got up to do a reading and Alison and Pedro shared personal vows with each other. Pedro especially had everyone laughing! You could certainly feel so much love during this ceremony from everyone who was present. It was important to the couple to bring in Pedro’s Mexican heritage. They did this so beautifully. As they walked down the aisle as a married couple, a mariachi band played. The couple even snuck in a dance in the grass right after their ceremony.
The cocktail hour was so much fun! They chose New England-themed appetizers including lobster rolls, of course, and had yard games out on the lawn. The kids especially had a blast playing together! The coastal beach-y theme continued in the reception with unique table numbers named after New England locations. The couple spent the rest of the evening enjoying their time with family and friends, hearing heartfelt speeches, dancing with their parents, and dancing to the DJ. It was an honor to photograph this wedding. I wish Alison and Pedro a lifetime of happiness and laughs! Congratulations!
