Jessica and Jason were married on a gorgeous and mild February day. When I arrived at Jessica’s home for her pre-wedding getting ready photos, I was delighted to find that her home was just drenched in gorgeous light. I found her little boy in the arms of his granddad, all snuggly and full of joy and laughter. His little tux and baby wedding shoes were super adorable and it’s always a squirmy battle getting a child into wedding attire, but super fun to watch.
Jessica had a small wedding party with two of her besties and the girls were dressed in such a beautiful shade of vibrant blue with gorgeous ivory flowers with blue accents. Did I say that the light in her home was to die for? I was in photographer heaven photographing in that home.
We were so lucky to get the weather that we got. Jessica and Jason had a traditional church wedding and the church did not disappoint with all of its ornate decor. Catholic churches make for such beautiful backgrounds for photos of the couple after the ceremony. It started to get chilly by the time we got to Gibbet Hill in Groton, Massachusetts, but we still were able to pop in and out as we got some beautiful outdoor images of the wedding party and the new Mr. and Mrs.
After a fun and social cocktail hour, intros, first dance, great toasts, and all of the traditions behind them, this newly married couple and their guests danced the night away to a fun and entertaining band. There is nothing like live music at a wedding. The Barn at Gibbet Hill made for a beautiful backdrop for a more dramatic kind of nighttime mini-photo shoot (about 3 minutes due to it being February – but it resulted in plenty of awesomeness. I wish them both all of the joy that life has to bring to this young family. And I am grateful for the honor of creating your “couple story”.
